Gym Review - Muscle Tribes Gym & Aerobics

For all you Stallone and Malaika wannabes, here's the road to success.

The Muscle Tribes gym and aerobics centre in BTM Layout is just the place for you. Set in a comfortable hall, you have equipment to tone every muscle in your body. The aerobics centre is a floor above the gym, having wooden flooring to prevent damage to your knees and ankles while sweating it out. With professional trained instructors for both the gym and the aerobic centre, and medical assistance on call, you can be assured of a safe workout.

To warm up, you have a heavy duty motorised treadmill to stretch your legs. Next is the stationary cycle followed by the stepper and the pull and back cycle. All these are for a warm up before you really start "Pumping iron".

The instructor then suggests the multistation. It consists of the Bench press for chest expansion, Abdomen press for the Peter Andre "Six pack", weight press for the legs, pulley for back exercise, a toner for thigh and a "V" shaper for the torso. A pretty extensive machine!

For the back are the following equipment chin up, pulley bar, "V" Shaper, T-Bar (First of its Kind in Bangalore).

There is also the bench press - with power lifting upto 275 Kgs, Incline press, decline press, half press, chest extension, chest extension with pulling and dumb bells (there is range upto 25 kg pairs). All the above are for chest exercise.

For the shoulders there is a range of equipment, a special mention is the smith machine - one of its kind in Bangalore.

There is also a host of equipment for the legs and the arms.

The rates are very reasonable. Rs. 150 for registration and Rs.250 per month, a reduction of Rs.50 for students. The price reduces if you pay for 2,3,6,9 or 12 months together. Also the registration is only Rs.50 if a couple registers together.

A sauna, steam and a chilled shower is going to be installed within the next two months not to forget is the entertainment during the workout - good music and Cable Television! From a personal experience - this place is great!!!
