About Canara Bank NRI Scheme
Canara Bank has made impressive strides in the International Banking
arena. The Bank's first Foreign Department was opened in Mumbai in 1953, and today its
International Banking operations are through a branch in London, a wholly owned subsidiary
in Hong Kong, Exchange Companies at U.A.E and Doha (Qatar) and correspondent banks
worldwide.
The Bank has set up NRI cells in major Indian towns and Overseas branches at major
Indian cities to assist and guide NRI customers. The Bank has 2379 branches in India. To
cater to the exclusive needs of NRIs, the Bank has set up specialized NRI
branches at 28 centers.
