Introduction

a) A fully repatriable deposit where the principal amount and interest earned are
    fully repatriable into foreign currency.
b) In order to open an NRE account, you would need to credit the account either
    through foreign currency sources or from an NRE/FCNR account held with
    another bank in India.
c) The interest earned in an NRE deposit is exempt from Indian Income tax.
