Public hydrants shall ordinarily be located at distances of not less than
180 meters apart. The water supply Engineer may shift the public hydrants in consultation
with the Commissioner of the Corporation.
The water supply Engineer or other officer authorised in this behalf may close
temporarily, any public hydrants found to be misused or contaminated.
