Maintenance and Regeneration-Rejuvenation of Environment & Ecology

To protect the environment,
especially in Eco-sensitive areas, the government has proposed to undertake following
measures
|
At the
time of clearance of new project, it will be ensured that Eco-friendly technology will be
adopted with appropriate pollution control and effluent treatment facilities.
Comprehensive
environmental studies would be carried out in major industrial center/ecologically
sensitive areas to ascertain the present status of the environment.
Industrial
units, particularly in the mining sector, will be asked to take up reforestation schemes
in the minded areas with active co-operation of the forest/environment departments.
Waste
management would be an important factor for consideration while approving mega-projects.
