Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage...

Movie Review: Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage
Starring: Amisha Patel, Hrithik Roshan, Kiran Kumar
Director: Vikram Bhatt
Producer: Mohan Kumar

"Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage" brings an end to the long wait to watch Hrthik and Amisha pair up after "Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai". Unfortunately, this film fails to live upto the expectation.

The story is something we have been seeing for a long time now. Sapna (Amisha Patel), is the daughter of an underworld kingpin Dholakia (Kiran Kumar). She is held captive in her own house because her the father and brother, Raman (Mukhesh Tiwari) believe that she is safe this way. Not that they dont love her but their extreme love for Sapna is manifested this way. Sapna lives the life of a prisoner till she actually feels that she can't take this kind of life anymore. She steps out of house and is attacked by her father's rivals. This is when our hero, Rohit (Hrithik Roshan) comes into picture and saves her. Before they get to interact, Sapna is

taken home by her bodyguards. But that's just the beginning. Come Navratri and she meets the man of her dreams again. In those nine days of celebration, she loses her heart to him and he too starts liking her.

Meanwhile, her dad fixes her marriage to his friend's son and the rest of the story is that of Rohit struggling to set Sapna free.

Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage is old wine in new bottle. The star cast is indeed excellent but what amazes is the fact that a matured director such as Vikram Bhat chose this subject. Nevertheless, the credit goes to him for handling most of the sequences with brilliance and there are many scenes that will remain in your mind for a long time to come. The performances isn't anything great

either. Amisha Patel has an overdose of make-up on her and she overacts. Hrithik Roshan does look great but has nothing extra or new to his performance. Kiran Kumar is OK. Music by Rajesh Roshan also is

mediocre. The only popular numbers are the title track and "Hawaon ne ye kaha". The choreography of the latter is great. Cinematography by Pravin Bhatt is eye-catching. The stunts by Abbas Ali Moghul are skilfully executed. Dialogues by Girish Dhamija are good.

Overall, the movie is worth a watch for Amisha and Hrithik's fans.
