ASGM is the next production of the team
            after "Dulhe Raja".

Kiran (Raveena Tandon) happens to be the daughter of a crook, Bhangari (Kader Khan) who
owns a shop that deals with stolen goods. Even though Kiran is an educated and modern
girl, her father wants her to marry Shakti (Shakti Kapoor) who is a gangster and has a
number of cases registered against him. Kiran is in love with Raj (Govinda) who happens to
be a businessman's son. Knowing her father's intention very well, she thinks of a plan
where she asks Raj to pose the biggest gangster of the city because that is what her
father is interested to get in. Raj does so and succeeds in convincing Bhangari. Shakti is
            unable |

to take this and what happens thereafter
            forms this movie.

Harmesh Malhotra doesn't succeed in making this movie as big a comedy as "Dulhe
Raja". Dulhe Raja also had its own share of drawbacks but ASGM seems to lack impact
altogether. The initial reels are fine but the film lacks momentum thereafter. The
screenplay isn't good and is one of the reasons for the movie not being as successful.
There are too many songs and those are not uniformly placed in the movie. The second half
is predictable and unnecessarily lengthy. As a director Harmesh Malhotra, does deserve
appreciation at many places. Music is Ok. Only the title song is worth mentioning.

        average. Dialogues are well written.

Performance-wise, Govinda is at his best again since he is used to doing this kind of
movies. Raveena Tandon does excel as well. It is good to see them again on the silver
screen. Johny Lever is excellent. Kader Khan and others in the supporting cast also
deserve a pat for their wonderful performance.

Overall, the movie is a light flick comedy and can be watched only once.
