Kaho Na Pyar Hai

Yet another film from the Rakesh Roshan stable has hit the market in the new year. Rakesh Roshan might have failed to come good commercially as a Star Actor, but he has made it good as a Director. Distributors are quite confident about this product of Rakesh Roshan. Rakesh Roshan has many succesful films to his credit like ‘Kishan Kanaiah’, ‘Khuddar’ and ‘Karan Arjun’. But his much expected films like ‘Koyla’ with Shahrukh in the lead and ‘Khel’ with Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit in the lead were average grossers. Sticking on to his fixation of producing films starting with the letter ‘K’, the much respected Director from Bollywood. In this film he has introduced his son Hrithik Roshan as a lead actor. Noted Model Amisha Patel plays the leading lady in the film. The film is essentially targetted for the youthful audience. Rakesh Roshan’s brother Rajesh Roshan provides the music for the film.

The Story
The story revolves around a poor boy, played by Hrithik Roshan, always found in tip top denims and designer shirts, loving a rich man’s daughter Amisha Patel. Naturally, objections galore from the girl’s father Anupam Kher. And finally the poor man is bumped off by the treacherous triumvirate of villains played by Ashish Vidyarthi, Dalip Tahil and Mohnish Behl. Reason, Hrithik comes to know about their hand in drug smuggling. He is also a witness the gang's involvement in a murder.

Then comes another Hrithik, a rich man from abroad and loves the same girl who by now is totally depressed. After several reels of action and confusion, the murder mystery is revealed, which leads to a happy ending.

‘Kaho Naa Pyar Hai’ proves a perfect launching pad for debutant Hrithik. It also proves other points. Director Rakesh Roshan has a perfect hold on the narration and Rajesh Roshan reserves his best for his brother’s film.
