"Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein" is a love triangle between Maddy
(Madhavan), Reena (Diya Mirza) and Rajiv (Saif Ali Khan). Maddy and Rajiv are college
students and completely opposite in character. Whereas |

Maddy is a real troublemaker upto some or the other mischief
all the time and crude in his behaviour, Rajiv is more polished and stylish. After
college, Maddy and Rajiv separate, the former joining a software firm and the latter going
to U.S. to follow his dreams.

Maddy happens to see Reena and instantly falls for her. But, he discovers
that Reena is to be engaged to a boy living in the States. This disappoints |

brilliant idea that he should impersonate the boy, Reena is engaged to and win her heart
since Reena has not seen the boy herself. This way he will |

win her heart and therafter Reena will become his. This is
exactly what Maddy tries to do . Now, it doesn't take much time for Reena to respond to
his feelings. But then, things aren't always all that smooth , that too in love stories..
Reena meets the boy who she she was supposed to be engaged and then what happens Who
            does Reena marry finally?

Menon tells you all about it. The film is a remake of the popular Tamil film
        "Minnale". The sequences in the
film are well shot and will very much appeal to the young crowd. The director Gautam Menon

great job trying to handle the emotional scenes and the
emphasis he has laid on the hero's feelings for the heroine.

Cinematography by Johny Lal is great, being shot in the fabulous location
of New Zealand. The dialogues are also Ok. Music by Harris Jayaraj is the best part of
this film and is kind, the teenagers look forward to. The best ones |

are "Zara zara mehakta hai",  "O mama mama" and
"Sach keh raha hai deewana" are among the popular numbers. As for the
performances, Madhavan makes a wonderful debut in this film . He is very comfortable |

acting and the role just suits him. He performs all
sequences with ease. Diya Mirza looks pretty good and does justice to the dance movements
but not acting and dialogue delivery. She badly needs to work on these aspects. Saif Ali
Khan has given a memorable performance despite his short role. Anupam Kher is superb, as
usual. Overall, Rehnaa hai terre dil mein is a worth a watch but .....only once . |
