Review: Yaadein

Yaadein is a family movie and the story starts with a family
of five and three daughters, the father being Raj Singh Puri (Jackie Shroff), mother (Rati
Agnihotri), and their three daughters Avantika (Avni Vasa), Sania |

(Himani Rawat) and Isha (Kareena Kapoor). On the other hand
we have a friend of this family , L.K. Malhotra (Anang Desai), his wife and son Ronit
(Hrithik Roshan). Ronit happens to be very close to the Puri family especially Raj Singh
Puri.
Raj Singh’s wife shared an integral relationship with his three daughters and brought
them up with the values of tradition and custom. Raj Singh though loves his daughters
equally, doesn’t share the same relationship as his wife. |

Then Raj Singh’s wife dies and that leaves Raj Singh
fathering his three daughters playing the role of a father and a mother. He leaves for
India with his three daughters and Ronit tags along as well. Back in |
India, he helps Raj find a match for his eldest daughter and
also gets the second daughter out of western culture. Then comes Isha who does not believe
in love. Ronit and Isha finally fall in love but Isha’s father does not want her to
get married to Ronit. This is where there is a twist in the happy story.

Jackie shroff, Hrithik Roshan and Kareen Kapoor. The other
two newcomers who have played roles of Kareena’s sisters have also acted very well.
Amrish Puri in his role as Hrithik Roshan’s uncle has also added extra flavour to the
plot.
Needless to say, Yaadein has Subhash Ghai touch. All the scenes have been directed very
well especially the scenes between Jackie Shroff and his daughters. The scenes between
Hrithik and Kareena have also been portrayed very well. Music of Yaadein has been composed
by Anu Malik. |

The title song "Yaadein" is very heart touching. "Jub dil
miley" is a faster paced song and is choreographed very well. But the movie will
become a hit because of it’s storyline and also because of the |
fact that the cast is excellent and the movie happens to be
a Ghai film.
This movie is shot in London and Ghai seems to have signed Hrithik and Kareena much before
"Kaho naa pyar hai" and "Refugee". The story also happens to be
inspired by a true story.
Overall, the movie is such that it will leave memories to cherish..... |
