Cleaning a Birdcage....

Precautions:
-If you are having a hard time with scrubbing the cage clean, try soaking it in soap and water or a special bird debris remover.

  1. Remove the bird from cage.

  2. Remove any toys, perches, or food dishes from the cage.

  3. If the cage has a detachable bottom, remove the bottom and dump any loose dropping in the trash.

  4. If cage does not have a detachable bottom, turn the entire cage upside down into the garbage can and shake any loose droppings.

  5. Put both parts of the cage in the shower .

  1. Run hot water over them to remove any excess soiling.

  2. Rinse the cage in hot water in the shower, and allow all excess water to drain off the cage.

  3. Dry the cage using a clean, dry cloth. (Reassemble the cage if it is a two part cage).

  4. Clean all the toys are perches. Remove all the excess soiling by running them under hot water and scrubing them with a friendly non-toxic cleanser.

  5. Rinse in hot water and dry.  

  6. Return toys, perches, food dishes and bird to cage.
