Recipe > Vermecilli Kheer

Ingredients
1 cup vermecilli
2.5 cup milk
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon saffron
2 teaspoons cardamom powder
2 teaspoons cashewnuts
2 teaspoons raisons

Vermecilli Kheer

Method

  1. Fry vermecilli in 4 tsp of ghee till golden brown colour. (The color should be between dark and light brown).
  2. Soak saffron in little warm milk.
  3. Add milk and cook vermecilli for about 10 minutes with constant stirring.
  4. Add sugar, cardamom powder, saffron and keep stirring till the vermicilli is cooked and kheer starts to become thick.
  5. Fry cashewnuts and raisins in ghee and add it to kheer.
  6. While serving, decorate with chopped almond and pista.
  7. Can be served hot or cold.
