Recipe > Masala Dosa

Ingredients
600 grams rice
150 grams black grams
75 grams parched rice (thick)
� tea spoon fenugreek seeds
salt to taste
1 pinch cooking soda
Ingredients for the filling
8 potatoes - boiled, peeled and smashed
8 onions - sliced to thin long pieces
2 tea spoon green chilli paste
2 pinches of garam masala powder
a pinch of turmeric powder
salt to taste

Masala Dosa

Method :

  • Wash rice and black gram and soak for 3-4 hours with fenugreek seeds in water.
  • Grind to a smooth batter by adding water.
  • To this, add salt and mix properly.
  • Keep it overnight.
  • Mix soda to this batter next morning.
  • Heat a pan and pour the batter on it using a ladle, spread the batter to become thin and round and allow it to bake.
  • Season with mustard seeds, black gram, red gram, chilli paste and curry leaves and add sliced onion to this.
  • Then add turmeric powder, potato and salt and mix properly.
  • Then add garam masala and garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Now, place 1-2 spoon of this curry on dosa and fold it lengthwise.
  • And serve with chutney.
