Recipe > Dry Chilli Chicken

(Fried pieces of chicken with a dash of red chillies)

Ingredients

180 grams boneless chicken

15 gram red chilli paste

3 gram salt

150 ml oil for frying

For the batter

80 gram flour

80 gram cornflour

2 gram salt

1 gram pepper powder

2 gram green chillies, chopped

Dry Chilli Chicken

Method

  1. MARINATE the chicken pieces with chilli paste and salt and set aside for half an hour.
  2. Make a batter with the ingredients.
  3. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces; coat them with batter and deep fry till they turn a dark reddish brown color.
  4. Remove from the oil, and drain off the excess oil with absorbent paper.
  5. Serve hot, with lemon wedges.
