Recipe > Mint Juice

Ingredients
Mint leaves - 1 cup
Ginger - 1 inch piece
Jeera - 1 tsp
Dhania seeds - 1 tsp
Lemon - 1 no
Honey - 1 tbsp
Sugar (if desired) to taste
Water as required

Method

  1. Grind jeera, dhania, mint leaves and ginger together to a fine paste.
  2. Bring this to a boil till the raw smell vanishes.
  3. Let it cool. Add water to the required consistency.
  4. Filter this; add lime juice and honey. Transfer them to glasses and serve.
  5. Note: The uniqueness of this drink is that it can be consumed hot too. This can be used as medicine. For patients who have just recovered from jaundice half a glass of this drink can be given once a week till they recover fully. This can be given chilled to children in summer to mitigate the ill effects of the heat.
