Recipe > Mutton Fry

Ingredients
Mutton - 500 gm.
Onion - 100 gm. (chopped)
Pepper - 1 tblsp.
Shredded Coconut - 1/2 cup
Cinnamon - 1" piece
Cloves - 3 nos.
Salt to taste
Ginger - 50 gm.
Garlic - 50 gm.
Oil - 100 gm.
Mutton Fry

Method

  1. Cook mutton in the pressure cooker with a few slices of onion, salt, turmeric powder and chilli powder.
  2. Grind ginger and garlic into a fine paste.
  3. Grind together onion, pepper, coconut and spices into a fine paste.
  4. Heat the oil in a kadai.
  5. Season it with clove and cinnamon.
  6. Add the ginger-garlic paste.
  7. Add the onion-pepper masala. Add salt.
  8. Saute till the masala turns brown.
  9. Add the cooked mutton.
  10. Cook till the fried mutton pieces turn almost black and ooze out oil.
  11. Serve with rice or rotis.
