Recipe > Vegetable Pakodas

Ingredients
Peas - 100 gm
Carrot (small) - 1
Cabbage - 1/4
French beans - 10
Green chillies - 2
Curry leaves - 3
Ginger - 1 inch
Salt - 2 tsp.
Chenna dal - 250 gm.
Oil - 1 cup
 

Method

  1. Soak channa dal in water for 4 hours. Grind into a smooth paste
  1. Wash and shred cabbage. Peel and grate carrot. String and finely chop French beans. Cut green chillies and ginger finely.
  1. In a saucepan, heat water. When water starts to boil add peas and French beans, lower heat to medium and cook for 3 minutes.
  1. Mix channa paste with peas, cabbage, French beans, green chillies, ginger, curry leaves and salt. Knead well. Divide into balls and flatten.
  1. Heat oil in a kadai. Add pakodas and fry for 3-4 minutes until brown. Serve hot.
