Recipe > Tandoori Roti

Ingredients
Whole wheat flour - 1-1/2 cups
Salt - 3/4 tsp.
Ghee for flour - 2 tbsps.
Butter as required
Tandoori Roti

Method

  1. Mix the salt & ghee to the flour & rub well with your fingertips.
  2. Make a dough with water & knead well to a soft pliable dough; keep aside for half an hour.
  3. Divide the dough into equal balls.
  4. Flatten each ball between the palms of the hands into a roti.
  5. Moisten one hand & stick the roti on to the wall of a hot tandoor or gas tandoor.
  6. Remove it with gloved hands when brown spots appear on the roti.
  7. Apply ghee or butter on them and serve hot.
