"Kya Kahena" produced by Tips films is the story of a young girl
and her struggle to pursue her heart's desire. It is the story of morality conflicting
with baseless social customs and how she single handedly overcomes the barriers.

Tips films had earlier produced films like "Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota
Hai", "Soldier" and "Kachche Dhaage" which has a strong music
value. "Kya Kehna" promises to be a musical fare with prominence to light comedy
and sentimental sequences. All the major channels are showing the promos of the film,
which is directed by much acclaimed Kundan Shah. The Music by Rajesh Roshan has a fresh
feel to it. Rajesh Roshan who has reached dizzy heights in popularity through "Kahona
Pyaar Hai" seems tobe on a spate of success, if the music of "Kya Kahena"
is any indication.
Synopsis:
Priya (Preity Zinta) is a lovely, spirited girl, just out of school and is in her
first year of college. As the only daughter she is the cynosure of all the family member's
eyes. Her father Anupam Kher, Mother Farida Jalal and the three brothers dote on her.
Similarly is the case of Ajay (Chandrachur Singh), her childhood friend. Ajay is in love
with her and wants to marry her. But Priya is blissfully ignorant of Ajay's feelings and
only considers him to be her best friend.

In college, Priya meets the dare devil and dashing Rahul (Saif Ali Khan) and
is totally swept of her feet. Rahul is the known Casanova of the college, and is always
seen flirting with some girl or the other. Naturally he notices the gorgeous Priya and is
immediately attracted to her. Her family warns her of Rahul's wild reputation, but Priya
refuses to listen. She is completely in love with the rich and handsome Rahul. And then
comes the crises in Priya's life. A crisis that will shatter her safe world and turn it
upside down. From being the darling of the house, she becomes every one's nightmare. She
has to be alone and defenseless. She trusts Rahul to help her in the moment of crisis, but
he would also turn her back to her. Priya has to come to terms with reality, and she
overcomes the crises boldly with self-belief and determination to fight. How she emerges
victorious forms the story. |
