Curtains Down for Number Nagar Maths Festival

Bangalore, December 26, 2012: BrainSTARS, a Bangalore based company, committed to the development of Science and Maths Education in India that has initiated & launched ‘NumberNagar, the four day maths festival “Galata 221212 -Maths Aadi, Maath Aadi from December 23 – 26, at Freedom Park, will conclude tomorrow after four fascinating days . The festival has seen 15 of schools that have taken keen interest in learning and participating in Maths related activities. The activities include Maths Mandala – making patterns with vegetables and wool solving puzzles with cubes and Snake & Ladder with specially designed dice etc. The main objective of this festival was to create awareness, natural interest and develop enthusiasm for learning Maths.

Anupama Prakash, President- Communication & Relationships, BrainSTARS, stated that “We are extremely content on the recent success of NumberNagar launch, and the response from the people At this point we are look at working with schools, educational organisations, residential communities, interested institutions and individuals including parents”.

Our vision is to move away from the software-based Maths Lab market and create an extraordinary space with elements that do not intimidate the students but allow them to connect Maths with real life and explore the concepts learnt in school chapters with clarity and enthusiasm. This is an initiative to transform Maths learning in India and to pay tribute to Mathematical genius Srinivasa Ramanujan.
