The latest cafe on the block is Red Fork. At the helm is young chef Xerxes with training from the infamous culinary institute, Le Cordon Bleu. Fresh from a stint in Australia, Xerxes took over the cafe portion of Daddy's Deli and recast it into a modern and hip cafe. There haven't been too many cosmetic changes, though. But the changes have been made in areas that really matter- The menu.
There is some standard breakfast fare, but the rest of the Food changes on a daily basis, and hence there's a blackboard menu. "I wanted to give the place a new identity. I like to work with seasonal and fresh produce and provide some refreshing plated items. There's something that caters to every kind of palate," says Xerxes. This concept has obviously struck a chord as the cafe has been getting rave reviews even though it is just over a month old.
