BMP has already taken over land of about 111 acres in four different places for development of garbage processing sites and also planning to construct three transfer stations. Identification of consultant for preparing master plan for development of processing sites is under progress. After receipt of the DPR from the consultants the tenders will be called for the work and the agency will be finalized such that the work could be started from 1-06-2000.

A draft letter addressed to the Government for providing security to the HUDCO loan has been sent for approval.

1. Major storm water drains
   KUIDFC has already appointed M/s Cauvery Environment Center as a consultant for preparation of DPR in respect of Vrishabhavathi Valley. The consultants have already submitted two reports and balance portion of Magadi to Ring road is under preparation.
   

1. Sankey Tank to Sujatha Talkies
2. Sujatha Talkies to Magadi Road.

The report being studied and comments of this office will be communicated by 15-03-2000.

After finalization of the scope of work and approval of DPR from the KUIDFC, tenders will be invited for these works and agency will be finalized such that work could be started from October' 2000.

The work of preparing "Master Plan" for development for storm water drain in a Bangalore city for other three major valleys has been entrusted to consultant who has to furnish report in a time frame such that preparatory works like preparation of tender, NIT, finalizing agency etc., could be started by 1-06-2000 and actual execution from 1-10-2000.

The short-term plan of desilting main and problematic secondary storm water drains along with emergent repairs of all the 4 major valleys are to be completed before the onset of monsoon 2000.

The consultant has now proposed to take up the above desilting and emergent repair works in 10 packages and have submitted estimates and tender documents for the following 2 packages of Vrishabhavathy valley;
