Bangalorean teenager in love? |

Lucky you, low budget fun. Places to go & places to avoid.
If you're in love, consider it as some practice before adulthood. This is the age
to find yourself, and what sort of person you would like as a mate, is part of finding out
who you really are. The truth is, at your age people are deciding what sort of grown ups
they are going to be. Remember, this also applies to the boy or girl you're seeing or
planning to develop a relationship with.
Where do teens go to talk, eat, and hang out? Some cities in this country couldn't really
offer much for the 12 to 18 age group. Bangalore has a public who leave people to
themselves. So burger joints, pizza parlors, snack and juice bars are nice and safe
'addas' so to say. Since you're below 18 you can't really hang out in a pub. But there are
other hot spots. Where you two, or a group can have fun in complete safety.
Been to Megabowl?
Besides that expensive game of marbles called bowling. You can go skiing, ride a
bike like a stunt rider on steroids, shoot monsters, and lots more. This is virtual
reality, a technology, which till a few years ago was available only to fighter pilots and
other such highly trained professions. The games are low cost, and a reflex testing, wit
sharpening experience.
Crazy Waters is good clean fun. With all that water, by the time you
finish having fun, you're clean. Water rides, pool games, water slides, water, water,
everywhere and plenty of Pepsi to drink.
Agni Aero sports to go para sailing. Strapped to a chute you run behind a
vehicle till you're airborne. The vehicle is connected to your harness, it moves around in
large circles keeping you airborne. Yup, you're like a kite and the driver of the vehicle
below is like a boy, or girl, flying the kite. Fascinating thought isn't it?
Boys - if you're out with a girl, her safety is your responsibility. Yes, just like
adulthood. Girls - never wander away alone, stay with the group. Or where there are plenty
of people around.
Places to avoid, the city's gardens are danger spots, thanks to
anti-social elements hanging around. The big parks are to be avoided. Highway dhabas after
dark are best avoided. If you drive out to Nandi Hills make sure you start back by 4.30
pm, allowing for a breakdown that can leave you stranded or heavy traffic that can slow
you down. The whole city after 11 in the night is best left to the men in khaki to play
cops and robbers with. You don't have to become an adult to be responsible.
