The name is apt; SEED! Yes! This 'unique' school was founded by Jaya Sastri, an Education Director in the United States with over 20 year experience in Early Childhood Education'. As you slowly open up with the people who run this school, you tend to imbibe' the 'passion' to what they stand for!
SEED, in Bangalore is being run by highly motivated professionals whose aim is to impart quality' education with a capital Q! SEED'S focus on education has a different paradigm. Delving further, the dream of the people at SEED is to provide freedom to each child to choose what it wants to learn, because they were given the same freedom in their school! THAT distinguishes SEED.
Though, there is a systematic syllabus, each child as SEED is taught according to its 'learning capacity. The syllabus is adapted to each kid's requirement. Rather, it is referred as 'Individual Education Program'. To put it succinctly, the lesson plans are suited to each child's needs! If a child is unable to a particular concept, using a standard teaching aid, then the teachers use different aids that would help the child learn that particular concept! This is the flexibility at SEED These teachers are highly trained and know the exact requirement of each child. Each kid is monitored daily and a weekly report is maintained, analyzed and required adaptations are made accordingly.
A child at SEED learns important concepts such as proportion, balance, size, shape and patterns come to life with classic wooden building blocks (Blocks & Manipulatives), explore basic science concepts such as weight, volume and fluidity, using simple materials and experiments (Art &. Sensory), by acting out the events of their dairy lives or their imaginations, develop language and social skills (house-keeping & Dramatics), a quiet place to read or look at picture books encourages language skills for beginning and advanced readers Children contribute: books and run their own library / book club (Language & Pre-reading), a variety of equipments like swing, merry-go-round, slides, jungle gym, pet zoo, sand area cycling area, balancing slopes and blow-up swimming pool (Outdoor)and many more. The Adult child Ratio of 1:4 for toddlers and 1:6 for preschoolers….
SEED has different programs that are unique Mother& Me - Where the child learns with mother. SLPA- SEED Little People's Academy a year round after school program that hones language math, science, and art skills. Summer Program Filled with activities like soap making, dramatics, folk dance, cooking and baking, pottery reading club jewelry making, candle making, and arts and crafts.
SEED offers educational programs to Infants Toddlers, Pre-schoolers, Kindergarten (LKG & UKG and After School (3-2 years) also. This branch of SEED in OMBR Layout is air-conditioned with a well equipped outdoor with a pet zoo!
