Mullayanagiri is the paradise of Western Ghats and is also the highest peak in Karnataka with coffee estates spreading at the foothills of the peak and the view captured by the eyes of the never ending meadows surrendering to the clouds from the top of the peak.
There is a cave below the Shiva temple on the highest peak of Karnataka symbolizing tranquility. Your eyes will always be mesmerized for the green lust and the white clouds passing upfront will bring a new meaning to trekking.
The lapse of meadows connects the ridge which is an opportunity for you to experience walking on the narrow path that connects two mountains with a sense of thrill on the ridge that drops on both sides.
TREK ITINERARY
DAY 1 Pickup from Bangalore.
DAY 2 Overnight journey till Chikmagalur- Trek from Sarpadhari to Mullayangiri and reach homestay.
DAY 3 Trek towards Bababudangiri Ridge and Ridge Walk. Leave for Bangalore.

KEY FACTS
ALTITUDE- 6,330 ft Highest peak in Karnataka and also the highest peak between Himalayas and Nilgiris.
TRAIL TYPE- Lush green meadows, beautiful ridge walk and sometimes steep inclination hike.
DIFFICULTY- Moderate, no prior trek experience required.
ATTRACTIONS- Lord Shiva Temple on Mullayangiri, amazing caves on way to Mullayangiri, waterfall and the beautiful ridge walk.
BEST SEASON- September - February
ADVISORY- To avoid wild animals and snakes in the area, trekking after sunset is not advised. It’s preferable to reach Bababudangiri or Mullayangiri before evening. Always be in group to avoid mishap.
WATER SOURCES- There are no water streams between Mullayangiri and Bababudangiri via ridge walk. The water can be found at temple on Mullayangiri peak and next to Bababudangiri there is waterfall known as Manikyadhara.
