Printools was established by the Chairman Mr. N.A. Ananth in 1969. He launched the enterprise with the objective of producing quality equipment for the printing industry. A mechanical engineer by qualification Mr. Ananth got into the field to manufacture lead type casting machines. These typecasting machines were used in the process to manufacture lead types for printing. Down the years Printools got associated with Monotype, U.K Ltd. to manufacture typecasting machines for them.Until the year 1983, Printools had almost sold 1000 machines. These machines were sold across the globe by Monotype U.K . Ltd.
