LL.M. Degree

Eligibility........
- A candidate for admission to LL.M. Degree course shall have passed the LL.B. Degree of recognized University having secured not less than 50% of marks in the aggregate of the total marks prescribed.

Admission Procedure.......
- Candidates eligible for LL.M. Degree course can obtain the application forms from the Registrar by sending a Demand Draft for Rs. 100/- drawn on the State Bank of India or any other Nationalized Banks payable at National Law School of India University at Bangalore.
- Candidates for LL.M. course shall be selected by the Admission Committee, based on a combined assessment of
a. The performance at an admission test .
b. The past academic record at the LL.B. Degree and
c. Performance at the interview to determine the aptitude for higher studies and research.

Duration.......
- The LL.M. course is of two years' duration. Each year shall comprise of two Semesters.

The Tuition and other fees.......
- Each candidate admitted to the course is required to pay an admission fee of Rs. 1000/- at the beginning of the first semester of the first year, along with a refundable Library Deposit of Rs. 1000/-.
- The tuition fee for the degree programme is Rs. 30,000/- that shall be collected in two equal installments at the beginning of each semester.
Note: Besides tuition fee a fee of Rs. 3,000/- is to be paid by each student towards Academic Support Services fee in two installments.

Promotion Scheme........
- Promotion from semester to semester shall be automatic irrespective of the fact whether the candidate has passed in the course taught or not.
- No candidate shall, however be allowed to submit the dissertation at the end of the fourth semester unless he has passed in all the courses and satisfactorily completed all assignments in other subjects.
