KANNADA PUSTAKA PRADIKARA
(The Kannada Book Authority)
Co-ordination of the activities connected with the Kannada book industry, assistance to both writers and readers, ensuring that Kannada books reach the readers, and similar measures have been entrusted to the Kannada Pustaka Pradhikara. Bulk purchase of books, the publication and sale of educational books and such other activities also come within its jurisdiction.

The following prathishtanas have been set up for the study of the rich contribution of outstanding writers and artists, and the publication and preservation of their works:

KARNATAKA NATAKA RANGAYANA, MYSORE
A theatre unit, Rangayana, has been set up in Mysore to provide advanced training to stage artistes. The five-year course involves the trainees in innovative experiments and is conducive to the progress of the theatre. At the end of their training the trainees present performances all over the State.
