The fabled Big Banyan Tree, spread over 4 acres is an interesting picnic spot. The main thick trunk has withered giving life to innumerable new hanging roots and branches with plentiful broad leaves. Branches big and small jutting on all sides have slanted towards the ground. Under the 400-year-old tree, a legend goes, Sage Muneshwar did penance.
