Allow to cool. Wipe the bruised area with the decoction, then cover with a bandage.
Small Bruises:
Gently wipe the bruised area with rubbing alcohol.
Minor Burns:
To help prevent scarring, break open a vitamin E capsule and gently wipe the burn with it.
The gel from the Aloe Vera plant when
placed on a burn will speed up the healing process and help reduce scarring.
Stretch Marks:
Caused from pregnancy, rapid weight loss and even growth spurts. No cream in the
world will completely eliminate stretch marks, only fade them which helps quite a bit.
Stretch marks do fade in time on their own.
One recommended way to reduce the appearance of stretch marks is to lift weights, it will
help to tighten the surrounding skin making it appear smoother.
Stretch Marks - BY BARBARA B:
I just saw your website and was browsing Beauty Recipes and saw the comment on
Stretch Marks.
A family member told me years ago when I was pregnant with my daughter to rub pure coco
butter twice daily over my stomach and breasts. When my daughter was born, there were no
stretch marks at all on my stomach. Now in my fifties, I've been passing this information
on to my daughter, daughters of friends and anyone I knew who was pregnant. My daughter
now has 3 sons and no stretch marks. But once you have stretch marks it is difficult to
get rid of. The key is prevention.
Some seemed skeptical but they did it and no stretch marks. It really works. I use to buy
the Hersheys coco butter directly from a pharmacy.
