"Galate Aliyandiru" unit returns after 25 day hectic schedule in Mauritius
Chennambika Films "Galate Aliyandiru" unit has now returned to India after a 25 day continuous schedule in Mauritius. H.D.Kumara Swamy who is presenting the film and Director S.Narayan addressed a Press Conference recently in which they said that many sequences and song situations have been shot in many untapped locales, and it is for the first time that such a long shooting schedule was held for any film in the island country, known for its visually breathtaking seashores.
Kumara Swamy had taken a cook along with the unit to facilitate the entire unit of 45 members to have sumptuous indian food, but the materials proved too costly for them.
Director S.Narayan said out of the six songs in the film, four have been shot in Mauritius. For a Song titled as 'Sagariye, Sagariye" many types of boats and helicopters were used. Two other songs have been shot in various locales in the capital of Port Louis and other cities. The country's top Dance director Nadim Khan choreographed all the songs of the film.
Stunt Director Ram Shetty who had gone along with the unit shot some key chasing sequences and fight sequences. For one particular sequence, permission was obtained to close the highways. During the chasing sequence, there was a break failure in which the hero Shivaraj Kumar was traveling and that too when he was riding at a speed of 100 K.M. per hour. Tactically Shivaraj Kumar changed the gears to slow down the speed and then some how averted the danger by dashing the slowed down Mitsubishi to the roadside.
Doddanna, Mukyamanthri Chandru and Mandip Rai who had gone with the unit for the shooting also said it was worth a good experience to shoot for a Kannada film in Mauritius. Tara, Karibasavaiah and Ashalatha are the other artists who had participated in the shooting in Mauritius. Kumara Swamy said that it was his wish to present a visually spectacular high budget film to the Kannada film audience, and that is the reason he had taken the entire unit to Mauritius to shoot the major portion of the film.
The film has Music by Deva and the all six songs are catchy. The Audio cassette rights have been sold for a fancy price to Magna Sound company. Giri is the cameraman. The final schedule of the film is to start in Bangalore from June 4.
