"Badal"
deals with the problem of terrorism particularly in parts of Northern India like Punjab
and Haryana. Frankly the Director has not taken the issue of terrorism in its entirety,
but deals with it in an hackneyed fashion without going into details. There is an element
of sentiment in the story which are good in parts, but the Director and the Story writer
seem to be more interested in leading the proceeds to the mayhem and murders in the
