'Kya Kehna' is the story of a woman who
fights and struggles in search of her own identify. She faces many problems, but
single-handedly fights on her own and comes out of one crisis after another. She comes to
terms with the real situations and finds her own solutions.
Production values are rich and the visuals are a treat. Music is a plus point in the film
and Rajesh Roshan has come out with two lilting numbers - 'in kadmon ke neeche',
'Jaaneman. . . . Tumsa koi kahan'. Even the song picturisations are good.
Preity Zinta looks pretty as a teenager, but also acts the matured role in the latter half
well. She can certainly be groomed as a good actress. Saif Ali Khan is O.K., but it is
Chandrachur Singh who stands out because of a good subdued performance. Anupam Kher is
good in both the comedy and emotional sequences. Farida Jalal gives a spirited performance
in the film.
Director Kundan Shah has certainly made a bold film. Family audience will certainly enjoy
seeing the film.
