If you are a die hard Vishunvardhan fan, then you should certainly not miss 'Soorappa'. He
once again proves that he is one of the best artists in the country today by his
marvellous performance in the film. Only thing is that you may have to watch him in many
sequences in misty eyes. He really makes you feel for him in the climax sequence.
'Soorappa' is a remake of Tamil Hit 'Marumararchi' which has a good story line in a
village backdrop. The hero of the film is a good samaritan having a wide reach of
influence in 48 villages and is respected for his deeds and words. A small incident is
triggers of a great tragedy in a neighbouring village for which Soorappa is made a
scapegoat by the villagers of the neighbouring village. There is friction, confusion,
fights and emotions thereafter. Finally, Soorappa emerges triumphant by proving his
innocence and also reaffirms that unity, and co-existence is a must for the villages.
Besides, Vishnuvardhan another attraction of the film is the near true narration of the
incidents by creating perfect ambience and settings.
Charan Raj has an equally important role and he performs his role with ease, Gurudatt,
Shruthi and Ramesh Bhat score well in the film.
Director Naganna has handled the film efficiently and every sequence of the film is
appealing. Hamsalekha's background score enhances the quality of the film.
