Academy, 22-year-old Aparna achieved her world's best ranking of 20 in 1999. The Mumbai
brought up Aparna has now made Bangalore her base to pursue her badminton career. Aparna
has been in the limelight ever since she finished as the runner-up in the World Junior
Championship at Denmark in 1996. The reigning National Champion, Aparna has been the top

Indian badminton. |
|
Her list of achievements include winning the gold medal at the SAARC
