The Bombay Rents,
Hotel and Lodging House Rates (Control) Act,1947
The extent of
the application of the Act:
Section 2 of this Act lays down the extent of its applicability. Parts I and IV of the Act
are applicable to the Bombay area of the State of Maharashtra. The Act also states that
the provisions of the Act are also applicable to certain other areas specified in the
schedule thereto.
The State Government, may, by notification extend the provisions to any other area or it
may direct that the provisions shall cease to extend to such areas at any date.
