Circumstances
under which tenant, sub-let or transfer or give on licence the premises of which he is in
possession:
As per Section 15(1) of the Act, in the absence of a contract to the contrary, it shall
not be lawful for any tenant to sub-let the whole or any part of the premises which are
let to him or to assign or transfer his interest in it or to give on licence, such
premises either in whole or in part.
